Story

Tamil Yazhi Trust is a registered non-governmental organisation founded in Thuraiyar, Tamilnadu by Harish R.D.  pursuing MSc Clinical psychology. Our main motive is to work for the mental illness people, to be a  charitable, voluntary social service like giving education support for students, health, social development, awareness, agriculture, environment and etc.

Every first Sunday we organise a Free mental health camp at S.P.G school, Thuraiyur for people who suffered from mental illness. In this camp we provide free check , up, counseling, medication and mental support to the  people with the help of counselors and psychiatrists. Every month 50-70 people are attend and get benefit from this camp and every month 10-20 new clients also attend the camp. This camp has been running successfully in the last 16 months without any gap.

We have successfully done many activities, like  awareness programmes for people, school and college students, webinars, guest lecturers, community programs, blood donation camps, cleaning the environment, planting trees,  fun events for students to reduce their mental pressure and etc…

Till now, we had done all this activities through our own money, now we need funds to run the camp further in the village areas.

Our monthly expenses for free mental health camp are Refreshment, Transport, Doctor, Counselors, Medicine, Stationery items, & Food. To continue the welfare and social services please help us by donating to our trust so we could change more lives.
